6 Nuts In A Forest

Tue Jan 1, 2008, 10:29 AM
So, you may have noticed that most of the latest deviations have been very nature orientated. Well I'd like you, who care, to know the story behind the case.

A few days ago, myself and five friends planned a bike ride. We got up early morning and began what would have just been a two hour bike ride. That was until we came to the center of the nature path we were cycling through. Now we had just spent the last two hours cycling from our towns, to meet at one house, and then cycle to another large town through the long route that leads by the construction industry. Now once we got to the middle of our journey, after witnessing some stunning scenery and plant life, we found ourselves at the top of a 40ft high, extememly muddy cliff. With just a thin and small amount of blue rope and one very tiny harness (which was only used for bag transport) we slid down one side, travelled down a river, and climbed back up the other side. This added alot more time to the journey than we anticipated. We then found a spot in the foilage to have lunch in, and wash hands at. We then carried on through the forest, as we kept climbing up, down and crossing over deep and slippy banks.

Then we ended this part of the journey after venturing in some marsh lands, just aside from where the original nature path joined. When finished, we decided that three members of our party would walk back to the part of the trail where our bikes were tied up, and another three of us would run, climb, crawl and jump back round. Needless to say, being the rugid adveturous type that I am, I chose the tought route. It was a great adreniline rush. My description doesn't sound like much, but it was a great experiance, and hell of a lot of danger. At one point, at the cliff, across from finish line, Graham slipped and found himself sliding all the way to the bottom. The lucky bastard didn't get a scratch on him. Meanwhile I'm struggling to help Damien avoid falling down into some sharp ass rocks and dying. And as we're doing this, the other three (Marc, Paul and Stuart) are gloating about there victory from the other side. It then took me half an hour to climb back up the other side cause, due to all the wet soil and lack of spots to grip to.

Afterwards we then cycled the same 2 hour path back to our homes. We were very, very mucky by the end of it all. Anyway, to tie this back in with the photo's. Along the way of this hilarious adventure, there was absolutely amazing bits of scenery and plant life, which is almost suprising seeing as Winter has been fast approaching lately. Most of the photo's I took were spontaneous, but all were carefully snapped. I'm thankful to all the comments and favourites I've been getting on these photo's. Keep watching as I continue to post more. We're actually going to take this journey again tommorow, but focus on the spot that contained a waterfall. Keep tuned!

Oh and by the by, ever took a dump in a forest? Not fun!

we've been desensitized by the lies of the world
We're oppressed and impressed by the greedy
Whose hands squeeze the life out of the needy
When will we learn that wars, threats, and regrets are the cause and effect of living in fear.
